National Poetry Month at Woodbury Public Schools

April is National Poetry Month. Here are just a few of the exciting ways that Woodbury Public School students are celebrating:

• High School English students are participating in a Billy Collins Poetry Contest. The winning entry will honor the former U.S. Poet Laureate’s award winning form, style and unique writer’s voice.

• Elementary students are reading a poem a day from a children’s poetry anthology created by Alysa Cummings, PreK-12 Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor.
